![]() Here's another video that covers the "Mario 64 Iceberg," an image somebody posted about Mario 64 mysteries and curiosities, which some people think is related to the ARG, since it and stuff about the Wario apparition appeared on the same day: ![]() The guy is doing kind of an annoying "spooky" voice, though, so apologies for that: ![]() Here's a good video breaking it all down. There's a ton of screenshots and video of it on YouTube from various different uploaders. The big motif here (like the Elegy of Emptiness statue in Ben Drowned) is the "Wario Apparition," a giant floating Wario head that allegedly appears in the portal to Dire Dire Docks. There's also some stuff about a beta of the game from 1995 that people are urged to NOT RESEARCH. The basic idea is that there's some kind of secret algorithm/AI in Mario 64 that subtly customizes the game to suit each player, which is why playing someone else's copy of Mario 64 always feels a little bit off. So there's a cool new gaming creepypasta that's been popping up on 4chan, Reddit, and YouTube lately: personalized Mario 64, or "Every copy of Mario 64 is personalized." Nobody knows if it's the usual brand of spoopy internet horseshit or if it's building up to some kind of ARG, like Ben Drowned.
